Here's a fun way to support local agriculture and merchants, while treating yourself to some good eats, too. Fresh on Deck is a pack of 52 cards, each worth $5 off your purchase of $20 or more at 32 restaurants and 20 farms across Connecticut.

Participating in New Haven are Caseus, Christopher Martins, Miya's Sushi, Scoozzi, Union League Cafe and Zinc; outside of New Haven, you'll find Donovan's Reef (Branford); River Tavern (Chester); Chamard Vineyards (Clinton); Feast Gourmet Market (Deep River); Flander's Fish Market, Pizza Cucina and White Gate Farm (East Lyme); Olio Restaurant (Groton); The Copper Beech Inn (Ivoryton); Hidden Brook Gardens (Ledyard); Ashlawn Farm Coffees and Beaver Brook Farm (Lyme); Azu Restaurant and Restaurant Bravo Bravo (Mystic); Lyman Orchards (Middlefield); It's Only Natural (Middletown); La Belle Aurore Bistro (Niantic); Four Mile River Farms (Old Lyme); Good News Cafe (Woodbury) plus other farms and eateries in Hartford, Litchfield and Fairfield counties.

A pack of cards costs $20 and each card is good for one discount per location through June 30, 2010; for more info, see freshondeck.com.
