Winemaker Notes
The winter season is well underway! We are busy in the cellar bottling our 2015 and 2017 vintages and nurturing our wines aging in barrels.
Every season in the vineyard has its charm, even during these grey winter months! This is a very important time for our perennial beauties, when the vines will be pruned to produce new canes and fruit for the 2018 harvest. The dormant vines may not look like they are thriving, but below the surface they are storing bounteous energy reserves in their roots and are ready to burst to life in the spring.
Du Vin
During this chilly weather why not warm up with a nice bottle of red wine. Enjoy our Heritage Cabernet Sauvignon 2014 on its own or accompanied by food. Crafted from hearty Suisun Valley grapes and aged in French, American and Hungarian oak, this Cabernet is replete with dark fruit and smooth tannins. Pair this wine with some decadent dark chocolate for a great Valentines Day treat!
